PASTOR KRAFFT'S BIO

Christian Testimony

I was raised in a Christian home but did not embrace Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord until I was in college at Florida State University in 1978. Once God got a hold of my life things changed dramatically. I became very involved with Campus Crusade for Christ, went on a beach project in Panama City, FL one summer, and met my future wife, Elizabeth, through that ministry. My Bachelor's Degree is in music education, but as I graduated and married Elizabeth, we both began praying hard about full-time Christian ministry. God opened the doors for me to become a youth director at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee. During two years of ministry there I felt God's call upon me to permanent pastoral ministry which was affirmed by that church. I then spent the years of 1982-1985 in seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. Since graduating with my Master of Divinity Degree I have served churches in Jackson, MS, Ocala, FL, St. Louis, MO, Winter Haven, FL, and now, Layton, Utah. I have extensive experience in teaching, preaching, pastoral counseling, church planting, leadership training and worship leading.

God really wooed our hearts to the West in 2003. We love Utah and have a tremendous heart for this unique culture. We are committed to developing a church here that focuses on four main areas of ministry: worship, nurture, mercy and outreach. We believe the Gospel of grace is life-transforming and that God intends to do stunning things on the Wasatch Front! We invite you to come visit us and join us in Kingdom building for the Lord Jesus Christ and for the glory of God.
